About us
VIP Training Academy Ceo Ms. vee
Avlia Pruhomme, a Licensed Master Cosmetologist, boasts over 35 years of industry experience. Her journey began in Louisiana at Stage One the Hair School in 1990, and she furthered her education in Sacramento, California, at the Northern California Barbering and Cosmetology Apprenticeship program, earning her license in 1999. Since 2000, Avlia has launched and managed multiple salons. Her career includes roles at various Beauty Supply Stores and as a beauty consultant. In 2001, Avlia earned her teaching credentials and has since instructed at Cosmetology and Barbering Apprenticeship programs, as well as private Beauty Colleges in the Greater Sacramento area, a practice she continues to this day.
Avlia's dedication extends beyond cosmetology; she is deeply committed to aiding children in need, having fostered many over the years. Recognizing the foster system's gaps, she founded the non-profit organization VIP Each 1 Teach 1. Currently, Avlia is establishing the VIP Training Academy, a Barbering and Cosmetology College aimed at empowering inner-city youth, transitioning former foster children, and single parents. The academy's mission is to provide trade skills for entrepreneurship and workforce readiness, certifying individuals as State Certified Barbers and Cosmetologists.
